Purpose

lemba

You can use this template to notify a user that you have responded to their message on your own talk page on another WikiProject.

Usage

lemba

placed under a new section at the bottom of the recipient user talk page. To use this template to inform your intended Wikipedian of a message on a talk page on another project:

  • Go to the target talk page.
  • On the top of the page, click on "New Section" button/link. It should look like this:
  • In the "Subject/headline" box, type a descriptive title.
  • In the message section, enter the following: {{Interwiki talkback|page=|project=|section=}} The first two parameters are mandatory, but section can be left empty.
  • Save the page.

Wikipedia will notify the recipient of having a new message in their talk page. When they visit their talk page, they should see your notice and (hopefully) follow the link to your user talk page.

  • Optional form: This form is complete. It adds a timestamp:

    {{Interwiki talkback|page=|project=|section=|ts=~~~~~}}

    Instead of five tildes (~~~~~), you can enter any date and time.

Notes

  • Do not substitute this template!
  • Do not insert this template in a section header; use it on a line by itself
