Template usage
lembaUse this rcat template on mainspace redirects only.
- Use this rcat to tag mainspace redirects that are abbreviations that follow the National Library of Medicine standard for serial (e.g. medical journal) abbreviations. An example usage of this rcat is J Clin InvestJournal of Clinical Investigation.
- Add this rcat to a redirect page (not a talk-page redirect) in the following manner:
#REDIRECT [[(target article title)]] {{R from NLM abbreviation}}
- This is in accord with instructions found at Wikipedia:REDCAT.
- This rcat formats redirect page titles in italics by default.
- This redirect category (rcat) template places pages into both Category:Redirects from NLM abbreviations and Category:Printworthy redirects by default. In 2003, efforts were begun to support the Wikimedia Foundation's goal of increasing access and availability of Wikipedia articles in printed versions. Redirects from NLM abbreviation codes are suitable for a printed version. In other words they are printworthy.
Please do not alter the printworthy settings of this rcat without first notifying the Version 1.0 Editorial Team, who are responsible for any and all materials, including redirects, that go into a printed version of Wikipedia. |
