When used with the "Redirect category shell" (Rcat shell) template:

From a restricted title: This is a redirect from a technically restricted page name to a page titled as closely as possible to the actual and true subject name. The {{Correct title}} template should be used as a hatnote.

When appropriate, protection levels are automatically sensed, described and categorized.
