Template:STN/doc
This is a documentation subpage for Template:STN. It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
Usage
lembaThis template expands a name (first parameter) to link to the appropriate railway station article, without displaying "Station".
Optionally a second parameter can be supplied to distinguish between identically named stations in different locations. The qualifier will be placed within parentheses after "Station".
A third parameter can be used to change the displayed station name.
For example:
Ginza
expands to Ginza
.
Jiyūgaoka
expands to Jiyūgaoka
.
Tokyo
expands to Tōkyō
.
Discretion should be used on whether to name the place itself or the station that serves it. In railway articles it is generally preferred to use the station unless specifically talking about the place, for example that Tokyo Disneyland serves the Tokyo Disneyland amusement park.
For articles named with lowercase "station", use Station.
