Thank tou. Sorry for making so many questions, I ask when I encounter something I don't know.
Is this written in Tumbuka?
Ageo, mzinda kwa Japan. Muli banthu pafupi-fupi 225,266 (2017). Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 12:45, 5 Julayi 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for asking.
Please dont stop asking if you want to know something.
That article is not in Tumbuka.
It is in Chichewa language also spoken in Malawi,Southern Region.
It literally translates : Ageo, city to Japan. There are approximately 225,266 people.
.
It was supposed to be written:
Ageo ni malo agho ghakusangika mu charu cha Japani ndipo muli ŵanthu pafupi-fupi 225,266.
Which correctly translates:
Ageo is a city in Japan and there are approximately 225,266 people. Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 13:00, 5 Julayi 2022 (UTC)Reply
Several things:
Its a good idea to eliminate them out,but can we just leave them? Because,er,you know, they could help someone doing research such as some scholars.
There are some scholars too getting scholarships to study abroad and before they go they may need as much info about that country as possible.
They may exalt to this wiki and find help.
These are just my thoughts.
What were thinking? Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 13:17, 5 Julayi 2022 (UTC)Reply

LANGUAGE DATA OUTDATED AND INCORRECT
did you get this from Wikipedia or external site?
.
Truly speaking,Nyanja is always listed on languages of Malaŵi but the language is never spoken to a lager extent to be honest.I have never met someone in Malaŵi speaking Nyaja myself despite being in all major cities and different places. It is a language for Zambia, though shares dialect with Chewa language. But they are not same.
.
Those percentages are old and inaccurate.
.
Its good to use the updated info from here though its not that accurate too,but its closer and everyone accepts them.
Also the external sites got their data from Wikipedia long ago where everyone could change anything according to their like.
.
Should i translate them anyway?
Or use the updated update one here? Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 13:55, 5 Julayi 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, what does "Chiwerengero cha anthu" mean?
Also, could you please translate this? Around 85% of the population lives in rural areas. The economy is based on agriculture, and more than one-third of GDP and 90% of export revenues come from this. In the past, the economy has been dependent on substantial economic aid from the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and other countries. Malawi was ranked the 119th safest investment destination in the world in the March 2011 Euromoney Country Risk rankings.

Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 16:00, 5 Julayi 2022 (UTC)Reply

The words, "Chiwerengero cha anthu," is not necessarily Tumbuka,or let me say,its not even Tumbuka.
It is Chichewa.
.
In correct Tumbuka, they are written and said as:
" Chiŵelengelo cha ŵanthu ".
.
They look a little similar but are from different languages.
So what does "Chiwerengero cha anthu" mean?(Chichewa words, not Tumbuka)
=They mean "number of people" or "population".
.
The correct in Tumbuka version " Chiŵelengelo cha ŵanthu " mean the same as on top "population". Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 16:17, 5 Julayi 2022 (UTC)Reply

    Hello Caro,
    Wow you just guessed perfectly.
Its exactly "ŵaMalaŵi" ,and not BaMalaŵi.
They all have the same intentional meaning but the second one is confusing.
So why did someone write BaMalaŵi instead of "ŵaMalaŵi"?
Its because their keyboard did not have "ŵ".Or they didnt see well on special characters of Wikipedia .
I will translate the terms later on top.

    DISTRICT NAMES:
The district names have all been moved to and divided into "District Name (msumba)" and "District Name (boma)".
However, the 3 districts which have recognized national cities would have been the ones divided into this category of grouping in both.
These districts are : Mzimba (district and capital of northern region) , Lilongwe (district and capital of central region and also national capital of Malaŵi), Blantyre (district and capital of southern region ).
    .
These were the districts which had a need to group them into both msumba and boma (district and city) Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 07:19, 6 Julayi 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you so much for the translations. The Template:Malaŵi is finally in Tumbuka.
District names: I suggest leaving them the way they are, at least for now. I did my best to organise them in an easy-to-recognise way. I have seen in the English and in the Spanish Wikipedia that each district and its capital share the same name but it would be good to have them separated here. We can come back to them later. At least there is an article about each district and region of Malawi in Tumbuka.

Wildlife (the word itself) : =Vyachilengiwa

    .
Also note that other words are adverbs, conjunctions, prepositions, etc used differently in different sentences.

In those two sentences, you will figure out that they all contain the word Vyachilengiwa which means "wildlife".

Zamenhof first described the language in Dr. Esperanto's International Language (Esperanto: Unua Libro), which he published under the pseudonym Doktoro Esperanto. Early adopters of the language liked the name Esperanto and soon used it to describe his language. The word esperanto translates into English as "one who hopes".

Did you know that Spanish is taught in almost every known high school in Malaŵi,beside French. The language is optional to learners, and was initially introduced in school curriculum in the early 2015 at large, but French has been around for quite some time. Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 09:34, 10 Julayi 2022 (UTC)Reply
Wow, I didn't know that. I was thinking that maybe we could create articles that might be useful for students, according to the Malawian curriculum. In the Wikipedias in Basque and Catalan they have done that so students have a resource to check information in their language. Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 07:11, 11 Julayi 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hello Caro,
Its sad to hear that you won't be here to help in most of the weekends.
However i get it.
.
I will create the articles about the above translations,as most templates are already available(you created, and thanks). So i will be asking for template help whenever i need to create a new categorised article that need a new template.
.
About Malawian Spanish students' history book,i suggest to focus on history of Spain and other Spanish speaking countries from Renaissance(birth) to present.
These countries include : Argentina,Bolivia,Chile,Colombia,Costa Rica,Cuba,Dominican Republic,Ecuador,El Salvador,Guatemala,Honduras,Mexico,Nicaragua,Panama,Paraguay,Peru,Spain,Equatorial Guinea,Uruguay,Venezuela,etc
.
We will also need articles about Spanish leaders, heads of states, martyrs, freedom fighters, painters, artists, ballet dancers, etc.
.
For these are found in the school books, among other things.
.
We don't have to hurry at all.
One article is enough for a day.
I will write about the above history though i may only need template help whenever possible. Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 13:02, 11 Julayi 2022 (UTC)Reply

How do you say "Africa" in Tumbuka? --Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 05:42, 9 Ogasiti 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Caro,
Africa = Afilika (Official Tumbuka)
Other dialects use: Afrika,Aflika (these are unofficial dialects as there is no fri or fli in Tumbuka, but fili)
IMPORTANT :Tumbuka has 3 dialects based on three countries, but the common one and the official one is the Malawi dialect and it is the one that this Wiki uses. Similarly, Spanish from Mexico,Spain and Puerto Rico have different dialects, but then at the end of the day, they are all Spanishes :)

  • Occidental survived the war, but the community had been out of touch with the language's creator since 1939. A Baltic German naval officer and teacher from Estonia, de Wahl refused to leave his Tallinn home for Germany, even after his house was destroyed in the 1943 air raids on the city forcing him to take refuge in a psychiatric hospital. Since most of his mail had been intercepted, he died in 1948 largely unaware of developments in the language. The name change to Interlingue took place the following year for two reasons: (1) to demonstrate to the Soviet Union the language's neutrality, and (2) the expectation of a possible union or closer collaboration with the community around Interlingua, a competing naturalistic project under development. Many users were lost following the latter's appearance in 1951, beginning a period of decline until the advent of the Internet. Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 10:21, 9 Ogasiti 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • History and activity
  • Beginnings: Edgar de Wahl announced the creation of Occidental in 1922 with the first issue of the magazine Cosmoglotta, published in Tallinn, Estonia under the name Kosmoglott.[1] Occidental was a product of years of personal experimentation under the name Auli (auxiliary language), which he used from 1906 to 1921 and which later on gained the nickname proto-Occidental.[2] De Wahl, originally a proponent of Volapük and then Esperanto, began creating Occidental after the failed vote to reform Esperanto in 1894.[3]
  • Vienna period and World War II: The Vienna period was also marked by financial stability. With the help of two major backers, Hans Hörbiger, also from Vienna, and G.A. Moore from London, Cosmoglotta thrived despite the economic crisis. After the two died in 1931, Cosmoglotta was again forced to rely on revenue from subscriptions and republications.[17]
  • Language standardization: During the war many Occidentalists took to standardizing the language.[51] De Wahl had created Occidental with a number of unchangeable features, but believed that its following of the "laws of life" gave it a firm enough base that it could follow a "natural evolution"[52] with a flexibility that would "allow time and practice to take care of modifications that would prove to be necessary".[53] As a result, some words had more than one permissible form, which could not be resolved by decree alone, thus leaving the ultimate decision to the community by including both possible forms in the first Occidental dictionaries.[54] One example concerned the verb scrir (to write) and a possible other form scripter, as both created internationally recognizable derivations: scritura and scritor from scrir, or scriptura and scriptor from scripter.[55] De Wahl expressed a preference for scrir, finding scripter to be somewhat heavy, but commented that the latter was certainly permissible and that Occidental might take on a similar evolution to natural languages in which both forms come into common use, with the longer form having a heavier and formal character and the shorter form a lighter and more everyday tone (such as English story vs. history).[55]
  • IALA, Interlingua, and name change to Interlingue: The International Auxiliary Language Association (IALA), founded in 1924[61] to study and determine the best planned language for international communication, was at first viewed with suspicion by the Occidental community. Its co-founder Alice Vanderbilt Morris was an Esperantist, as were many of its staff,[62] and many Occidentalists including de Wahl himself[62] believed that its leadership under Esperantist William Edward Collinson meant that it had been set up with a staff of professional linguists under a neutral and scientific pretext to bolster a final recommendation for Esperanto. Relations soon improved, however, as it became clear that the IALA intended to be as impartial as possible by familiarizing itself with all existing planned languages. Ric Berger, a prominent Occidentalist who later joined Interlingua in the 1950s, made a personal visit to Morris in 1935 in which she and her husband showed a curiosity for Occidental and invited him to speak in the language, vastly improving Berger's opinion of the organization.[63]
  • Stagnation and revival: While the migration of so many users to Interlingua had severely weakened Interlingue, the ensuing drop in activity was gradual and took place over decades.[87] Cosmoglotta B ceased publication after 1950, and the frequency of Cosmoglotta A began to gradually drop: once every second month from 1952, and then once per quarter from 1963.
  • Recent years have shown new books published in Interlingue such as The Little Prince,[102] the Gospel of Mark,[102] Salute, Jonathan!,[103][104] and works by Vicente Costalago including Li sercha in li castelle Dewahl e altri racontas, Antologie hispan, and Fabules, racontas e mites.

Hi again. Let's try to get the Vital articles list done!

Could you please translate this?

  • Publius Vergilius Maro (traditional dates 15 October 70 – 21 September 19 BC), was an ancient Roman poet of the Augustan period. He composed three of the most famous poems in Latin literature: the Eclogues (or Bucolics), the Georgics, and the epic Aeneid. A number of minor poems, collected in the Appendix Vergiliana, were attributed to him in ancient times, but modern scholars consider his authorship of these poems as dubious.
  • Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky (11 November 1821 – 9 February 1881) was a Russian novelist. The most popular novels are Crime and Punishment, The Idiot and The Brothers Karamazov.
  • Count Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy (9 September 1828 – 20 November 1910) was a Russian novelist and anarchist, famous for writing the books War and Peace and Anna Karenina, and many other works. He was a Christian and believed in non-violence and practiced simple living. His work The Kingdom of God is within you has influenced people like Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King.
  • James Augustine Aloysius Joyce (Irish: Séamus Seoighe) (2 February 1882 – 13 January 1941) was an Irish writer and poet of the modernist movement. He was from Dublin, Ireland. He wore an eyepatch, because of eye damage. He could not see well.
  • Franz Kafka (born Prague July 3, 1883 – died near Vienna June 3, 1924) was a Czech-born, German-speaking writer. His best known works are The Metamorphosis and the novels The Trial and The Castle. Not much of his work was published during his lifetime. He asked his friend to make sure that all his writings which were not published, including his three novels, would be destroyed when he died. Fortunately his friend did not destroy them, and they were published after Kafka’s death.
  • Pablo Neruda (July 12, 1904 – September 23, 1973) was a Chilean poet. He won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1971. He wrote in Spanish. Most of his works have been translated into many other languages.
  • The primary evidence for this expansion is linguistic – a great many of the languages which are spoken across Sub-Equatorial Africa are remarkably similar to each other, suggesting the common cultural origin of their original speakers. The linguistic core of the Bantu languages, which comprise a branch of the Atlantic-Congo language family, was located in the southern regions of Southern Cameroon. However, attempts to trace the exact route of the expansion, to correlate it with archaeological evidence and genetic evidence, have not been conclusive; thus although the expansion is widely accepted as having taken place, many aspects of it remain in doubt or are highly contested.[5]
  • The expansion is believed to have taken place in at least two waves, between about 3,000 and 2,000 years ago (approximately 1,000 BC to AD 1). Linguistic analysis suggests that the expansion proceeded in two directions: the first went across or along the Northern border of the Congo forest region (towards East Africa),[6] and the second – and possibly others – went south along the African coast into Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Angola, or inland along the many south-to-north flowing rivers of the Congo River system. The expansion reached South Africa, probably as early as AD 300.

About adding more info to number of inhabitants.
I thought so.
I was gonna say that too.
I have seen you edited that page and added population.
Yes lets add more info.
Very true Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 09:34, 31 Ogasiti 2022 (UTC)Reply
Sorry Tumbuka Arch, I have been thinking and I remember that in other Wikipedias, it doesn't make a lot of difference adding one sentence, they will still criticise it. I think we can just add one sentence and that's it because for the template to work you need to add interwikis and that is a very long job. Let's just to what you did, and try to get this Wikipedia to have more articles. Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 09:37, 31 Ogasiti 2022 (UTC)Reply
One thing I thought is that maybe you can let me do this short, easy-and-fast-to-create articles and you can try to create longer ones, in that way, this wikipedia won't look that bad. As you are the only one speaking the language I suggest we do that, you focus on quality and I focus on quantity. As this is an African Wikipedia, I suggest you to translate articles like Ŵanthu ŵachiBantu, with relevant information to Tumbuka speakers. Where should i translate Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 09:47, 31 Ogasiti 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Caro de Segeda
Yes true.
We can expand them next time by adding local images and maps later including population.
I am creating a special community page to add articles to be expanded.
This is because it takes time to add more info.
searching for images,etc.
After all, others will expand them. Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 09:45, 31 Ogasiti 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Caro de Segeda

Ok, perfect. Could you please translate this to add it to Kukula kwa ŵa Bantu?
The primary evidence for this expansion is linguistic – a great many of the languages which are spoken across Sub-Equatorial Africa are remarkably similar to each other, suggesting the common cultural origin of their original speakers.
The expansion is believed to have taken place in at least two waves, between about 3,000 and 2,000 years ago (approximately 1,000 BC to AD 1). Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 10:02, 31 Ogasiti 2022 (UTC)Reply
Is this article correct? Because I thought that Mbiri meant history and not revolution. Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 10:22, 31 Ogasiti 2022 (UTC)Reply
In Tumbuka there is no much difference.
They are all histories.
These words are like fox and dog, cattle and buffalos, ducks and guoose, somehow similar in looks huh.
However ,there need to be a slight difference.
In this case it will be "Mbiri ya Cuba yakwambilila"
Though it sounds funny and crazy- but super correct.
In simple English, it literally translates "Cubas first history" or "Cuba's movements" but they all mean "Cuba Revolution". Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 10:33, 31 Ogasiti 2022 (UTC)Reply
Oh, ok. So Tumbuka is kind of more generalistic in this aspect. Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 10:59, 31 Ogasiti 2022 (UTC)Reply

That article is completely in English, I suggest translating it or deleting it. Also, I have seen that you are importing a lot of templates from the English Wikipedia. I suggest not to do so, but to create them here, with a simpler syntax that we can manage. We are three people editing here and only you speak the language, I suggest to keep things simple. --Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 09:56, 7 Sekutembala 2022 (UTC)Reply

I strongly suggest you to create longer articles even if they are less in quantity. Tumbuka has reach numbes 190 of 326 Wikipedias but most articles are just one line of text and a template. If we keep doing this it will look really bad because of the one-line articles and because there is no information really realted to Tumbuka culture, so as to say or even the Vital Articles that every Wikipedia should have. If you check the longest pages, the first proper articles is Spanish, which is number 14 on the list. --Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 10:27, 7 Sekutembala 2022 (UTC)Reply
I created a template for regions, which you can see here. Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 10:41, 7 Sekutembala 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Caro de Segeda
There are three articles in English that i imported from English Wikipedia. These posts will be translated in Tumbuka as they are on TO DO list.
That article contains all templates and parameters to be used as they are.I suggest not taking them as articles but something to work on later.
I am trying to do this because most of our templates here are small and got few inserts. Also making these templates takes more time.
I know what am doing.I wouldn't leave an article in English stay on Tumbuka Wikipedia language.
I will translate them later.
About templates, unfortunately we are running short of templates. These templates imported will be translated and fixed to meet Tumbuka standards and simplicity. Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 10:48, 7 Sekutembala 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ok, great. I was worried about having too many templates and articles in English but I see you know what you are doing so that's is really good. Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 10:51, 7 Sekutembala 2022 (UTC)Reply
Note: i didn't import any single template. They were imported together with the articles.
Also i was on my way before you wrote this headline to contacting the other user if they can accept to be an importer or transwiki importer on this wiki to import templates from other wikis.
The import feature is not exactly as it may sound bad to someone,it is something that helps. If other wikis have importers, may it be that bad here to have our importer (s)? Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 11:02, 7 Sekutembala 2022 (UTC)Reply

Alright, I’m right now using my moms phone. I might try to make tum Wikipedia pages on different places in/nearby Camajuani that weren’t acceptable on English Wikipedia. Also what’s the rules on towns that are allowed on this wiki? @CubanoBoi

If Camajuani has some info on the internet then its okay.

Do they have some maps too?

Its okay if they currently dont have maps. Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 20:03, 11 Sekutembala 2022 (UTC)Reply

Wydm “Maps” for most I’m just using maps like the one seen on Crucero Carmita or Canoa, Cuba. For popular councils look at Luis Arcos Bergnes. @Tumbuka Arch CubanoBoi (pakuchezgela) 20:05, 11 Sekutembala 2022 (UTC)Reply

Okay so we can use any similar map as long as it shows the place being written.Cool. Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 20:08, 11 Sekutembala 2022 (UTC)Reply

Also what’s the difference between Ŵasankhi ŵa Ndale and Council Lakumanyikwa. You use both @Tumbuka Arch? CubanoBoi (pakuchezgela) 20:08, 11 Sekutembala 2022 (UTC)Reply

Not exactly same.
Ŵasankhi ŵa Ndale = municipalities
Council Lakumanyikwa = famous council. Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 20:13, 11 Sekutembala 2022 (UTC)Reply

Oh no, it’s popular like people not famous. Also Camajuani is a municipality, Vega Alta is a popular council. CubanoBoi (pakuchezgela) 20:19, 11 Sekutembala 2022 (UTC)Reply

I meant "popular" yes.
Also you dont have to worry about grammar or sentences, i will find time and fix all the mucipalities on this wiki.
Try to put in same category so that on fixing day i dont miss any.
I am planning to fix all of them soon. Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 20:23, 11 Sekutembala 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Tumbuka Arch It’s just in Spanish it’s called “Consejo Popular” and Popular can translate into both popular and people in English but more people use Popular Council instead of People’s Council because in Spanish “Popular” is the same as “Popular” in English CubanoBoi (pakuchezgela) 20:22, 11 Sekutembala 2022 (UTC)Reply

yes the translation on Tumbuka here is correct. Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 20:24, 11 Sekutembala 2022 (UTC)Reply

Alright, but your using them Willy nilly. Before you do an edit check the English page since you said that Luis Arcos Bergnes was a municipality on Crucero Carmita, I’ve might of mixed them up once or twice tho. And where should I put the list of pages? Should I put them in my User page? Sandbox? I might use something like User:CubanoBoi/sandbox/Pages for Review or something @Tumbuka Arch CubanoBoi (pakuchezgela) 20:32, 11 Sekutembala 2022 (UTC)Reply

Translation

Hello, could you please translate this?

  • Literature: The main literary texts in Occidental appeared in Cosmoglotta. There were also some works, both original and translated, published in Interlingue. Other texts appeared in the magazine Helvetia but these were less common. Micri chrestomathie is an example of a translated work, featuring a compilation of texts by Jaroslav Podobský, H. Pášma and Jan Kajš published in 1933.
  • Some original texts published as separate books are:
    • Krasina, raconta del subterrania del Moravian carst,[63] published in 1938 by Jan Amos Kajš.
    • Li astres del Verne,[64] a collection of original poetry by Jaroslav Podobský, published both in 1935 and 1947.
    • Li sercha in li castelle Dewahl e altri racontas, written and published by Vicente Costalago in 2021.[65]
    • Subuqti, written and published by Vicente Costalago in 2022.
  • Some translations are:
    • Antologie hispan, written and published by Vicente Costalago in 2021.[66]
    • Fabules, racontas e mites, written and published by Vicente Costalago in 2021.[67]

    • Li astres del Verne,[64] a collection of original poetry by Jaroslav Podobský, published both in 1935 and 1947.

Cuban Revolution Translations

Hi, can you translate
1. The Battle of Santa Clara was a series of events in late December 1958 that led to the capture of the Cuban city of Santa Clara by revolutionaries under the command of Che Guevara.[2] The battle was a decisive victory for the rebels fighting against the regime of General Fulgencio Batista. Within 12 hours of the city's capture, Batista fled Cuba, and Fidel Castro's forces claimed overall victory.[3] It features prominently on the back of the three convertible peso bill.
2. Second National Front of the Escambray
3. Popular Socialist Party
4. Logo
5. The Ten Years' War (Spanish: Guerra de los Diez Años; 1868–1878), also known as the Great War (Guerra Grande) and the War of '68, was part of Cuba's fight for independence from Spain. The uprising was led by Cuban-born planters and other wealthy natives. On 10 October 1868, sugar mill owner Carlos Manuel de Céspedes and his followers proclaimed independence, beginning the conflict. This was the first of three liberation wars that Cuba fought against Spain, the other two being the Little War (1879–1880) and the Cuban War of Independence (1895–1898). The final three months of the last conflict escalated with United States involvement, leading to the Spanish–American War.[10][11]
6. The Cuban War of Independence (Spanish: Guerra de Independencia cubana), fought from 1895 to 1898, was the last of three liberation wars that Cuba fought against Spain, the other two being the Ten Years' War (1868–1878) and the Little War (1879–1880). The final three months of the conflict escalated to become the Spanish–American War, with United States forces being deployed in Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Philippine Islands against Spain. Historians disagree as to the extent that United States officials were motivated to intervene for humanitarian reasons but agree that yellow journalism exaggerated atrocities attributed to Spanish forces against Cuban civilians.
7. Vega Alta was a part of San Antonio de las Vueltas municipality until 1976
8. Vueltas was a municipality until 1976 and it included the towns of Aguada de Moya, Bosque, Cabecera, Charco Hondo, Piedras, Quinta, Sagua la Chica, Taguayabón, Vega Alta and Vega de Palma.

Translation

Hello, could you please translate this?

Edgar Alexei Robert von Wahl or de Wahl (23 August 1867 – 9 March 1948) was a Baltic German teacher, mathematician and linguist. He is most famous for being the creator of Interlingue (known as Occidental throughout his life), a naturalistic constructed language based on the Indo-European languages, which was initially published in 1922. De Wahl was born in Olwiopol (according to some sources in Bohopil, a town nearby[2][3][4][5]), Kherson Governorate, Russian Empire (now part of Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv Oblast, Ukraine). The family spent several years in Ukraine, since de Wahl's father worked there as a railway engineer.[6] After that the family stayed for several years in Tallinn and then moved to Saint Petersburg. Wahl studied there and then began service in the Imperial Russian Navy. Beginning in 1894, de Wahl worked as a teacher in Tallinn.[7]

De Wahl first became an adherent of Volapük after being introduced to the language by Waldemar Rosenberger (a colleague of de Wahl's father), and began composing a lexicon for marine terminology.[8] A few months later in 1888 he discovered a brochure on the language Esperanto in a bookshop and became a strong supporter of the new language. One of the first users of Esperanto, he advised L. L. Zamenhof on some points of grammar and vocabulary.[9] After several years he abandoned Esperanto after the failed vote to reform the language in 1894 (de Wahl was one of the few that voted for a completely new reform), and in the following decades he worked on the problem of the ideal form of an international auxiliary language. In 1922 de Wahl published a "key" to a new language, Occidental, and the first number of a periodical entitled Kosmoglott (later Cosmoglotta), written in that language. In following years, de Wahl participated in discussions about Occidental, and allowed the language to develop gradually as a result of the recommendations of its users. After World War II started in 1939, he had only intermittent contacts with the Occidentalist movement, which had become centred in Switzerland. He became a member of the Committee of Linguistic Advisors, part of the International Auxiliary Language Association, which would present Interlingua in 1951.

The last years of de Wahl's life were spent in a psychiatric hospital in Tallinn, Estonia, which he was sent to in 1944. His home in Tallinn had been destroyed in aerial bombardments in 1943, and he had been incarcerated for a time after the arrival of Nazi troops in the city for refusing to move to Germany as an ethnic German, and thereafter saved by his friends who argued for his mental instability and need to relocate to the hospital.[10] With his home destroyed, he remained in the psychiatric hospital after the war and died there in 1948.[11] Shortly afterwards, in 1949, the name of Occidental was changed to Interlingue. Later, in 1951, Interlingua was unveiled, attracting many prominent users of the now-named Interlingue including Ric Berger[12] and André Schild.[13]

And this?

De Wahl's rule

De Wahl's rule is a rule of word formation, developed by Baltic German naval officer and teacher Edgar de Wahl and applied in the constructed language Interlingue, which was also his creation. The rule served for the formation of certain changed grammatical forms, like adjectives and nouns, from verb infinitive. Edgar de Wahl observed existing patterns of sound changes that occurred in natural languages (d to s, r to t, etc). The purpose of his rule was to distill these patterns into a regular and logical system that is reproducible yet also natural in appearance.

Application: This rule was first applied in the language Interlingue. It is also used in the language Sambahsa. After a possible modification one can apply this rule to create new forms of a word especially in Romance languages or in languages which borrowed vocabulary from Romance languages.

And also this:

Alphonse Matejka (9 January 1902 in St. Gallen, Switzerland - 27 October 1999 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland) was a famous Occidentalist of Czech origin.

Biography: The Matejkas were originally from Wischkovitz (Bohemia). His father arrived in Switzerland before 1900, maybe due to the lack of job opportunities in the Czech Republic. He was granted Swiss citizenship in 1915. His son Alphonse was born in St. Gallen the 9 January 1902. He spent his last years as a student in the mercantile section of the cantonal school where he founded a student union under the name of Industria Sangallensis. Due to his linguistic ability, he managed to get a job at Reichenbach & Co. That company would later transfer him to its subsidiary in Paris. There, he met his wife, Jeanne Bellanger. The couple got married in 1928. In the 30s he moved to Zurich and then to Amsterdam in 1936, coming back to Switzerland to finally settle down in La Chaux-de-Fonds. He got a job at the watchmaking industry.

Linguistic endeavours: Alphonse Matejka was able to speak several Romance and Germanic languages. He also spoke Russian, being able to write for a Russian journal and even translate to that language for the Russian Academy of Sciences. He got engaged in the Ido movement.[2] However, he started supporting Occidental in 1937. In 1942 he published the first edition of the textbook OCCIDENTAL die internationale Welthilfssprache.[3] It was followed in 1945 by Wörterbuch Occidental-Deutsch e Deutsch-Occidental. This book was based upong the works of Joseph Gär and Ric Berger. After the language name was changed to Interlingue, he wrote and updated the book Interlingue die natürliche Welthilfssprache. He was also Cosmoglotta's main editor for several years.

THE ONLY REMAINING PARAGRAPH IS THIS:
(Which I will translate later)
Tumbuka Arch (pakuchezgela) 07:23, 7 Okutobala 2022 (UTC)Reply
Could you please translate this one instead of Matejka? L'Enciclopèdia is a wiki encyclopedia in Valencian created on December 2, 2007. On October 2, 2022 it had a total of 25,443 articles. L'Enciclopèdia, is the "only encyclopedia that uses a Valencian regulation for Valencian", the Normes d'El Puig of the Royal Academy of Valencian Culture dating from 1979 and also "the only one written in Valencian from the Valencian Community itself and addressed to a Valencian audience". One of the objectives of L'Enciclopèdia is to develop a free content encyclopedia in Valencian and to spread the Valencian language and culture on the internet. --Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 08:23, 8 Okutobala 2022 (UTC)Reply

If this wiki (L'Enciclopèdia) has some kind of attention, then I could simply add it on top of the Tumbuka wiki side bar where other languages are already listed. And it could be on number 3,or any, but will appear without a need for 'expand' for some browsers.
