Thoughts on adding Template:parameter subst to all of the /par templates

I have been working with a small group of editors to reduce the size of Wikipedia:Database reports/Unused templates. We have so far reduced the number of non-stub templates on that report from 12,000 to 7,000 in a couple of months. About 400 of the remaining untranscluded templates are /par templates in Category:Parameter shared content templates. I do not have an easy way to exclude a whole category from the report, but {{transclusionless}}, which I have added to {{parameter subst}}, will keep templates from showing up on the report.

Do you have any objections to the addition of {{parameter subst}} to the /par templates in that category? I am willing to do it manually if necessary, lacking any better tool, unless you know of a better way. Also, if you can think of a better way to reach the goal of having these templates removed from the report, I am all ears. Thanks. – Jonesey95 (talk) 00:12, 17 January 2022 (UTC)

CDP University Park, Florida?

@Dionysos1988: University Park is named the University CDP, Florida, the same name as the CDP in Orlando County. Why the Census Bureau gives the same name to CDPs in the same state is beyond me. We have two Twin Lakes CDPs here in Colorado. You can find the information for the CDPs at the State of Florida Census Designated Places and Florida Quick Facts. copying withing wikipedia

I've noticed that you move content between pages a lot by copying and pasting. Please remember when doing so to at minimum leave an edit summary that links to where the content originated, along the lines of "copied content from [[Foo]]". This makes it much easier for editors to follow the history of the content and where it originated and is required for attribution. Please see WP:Copying within Wikipedia. Also, in reference to the above, remember that using WP:Articles for creation is optional; all new articles are patrolled regardless. Copying within Wikipedia

It looks like you are still copying and pasting content between pages in main space without attributing where the content came from, according to WP:Copying within Wikipedia, an issue I raised with you in June here on your talk page. Specifically, Population history of Colorado counties began with content copied from List of Colorado counties, and Population history of Colorado municipalities was originally copied from List of Colorado municipalities. Even though you are the primary content creator in these cases, you are not the sole editor involved in these pages, and copying content with an edit summary like "Create new list article" does not provide attribution to those who contributed to the version being copied and is a violation of copyright. It also makes it difficult for other editors to follow the history of the content being reused. Please see Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of municipalities in Colorado/archive1, Wikipedia:Peer review/List of municipalities in Colorado/archive1, and Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of municipalities in Colorado/archive2. I maintain a substantial offline database of information about these topics from which I generate tables. Some material has been duplicated to get the new article started. The new article is not yet finished. I'll post a Template:Construction to notify users. I would greatly appreciate your comments at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of municipalities in Colorado/archive2.

Likewise, The Population history of Colorado counties was split off from the List of counties in Colorado to streamline the original article and provide additional historical population data for those who are interested. These articles are also not yet finished. I may also create a spin-off article for the List of census-designated places in Colorado, although we have not yet decided to do this.
